📘 How to Use OvulTrack
OvulTrack is a free web app designed to help women track ovulation and improve their chances of conception — naturally or with gender preference tips.
1. Use the Ovulation Calculator
On the homepage, you’ll find a simple form under “Ovulation, Cycle Tracker & Gender-Based Advice”.
- Enter the first day of your last menstrual period.
- Enter your average cycle length (typically between 21–40 days).
- Select your goal:
- Just Track Ovulation/Cycle
- Trying for a Boy 👦
- Trying for a Girl 👧
- Click the "Calculate" button.
After calculation, the app will display:
- Estimated ovulation date
- Fertile window (best days for conception)
- Advice based on your gender preference
- A button to to view a calendar of your option showing your Period dates, Fertile window, Ovulation and Safe Period.
- You can always come to this page or print it for the month and next and come back and calulate your next.
2. Subscribe for Email Reminders
Below the calculator, there's a “Subscribe for Reminders” form.
Fill in your:
- Email address
- Cycle length
- Last period date
- Gender preference
OvulTrack will send you personalized reminders before your next fertile window including a calendar link, With a link to track your Period Date, Safe Period and Ovulation.
Note: You can only subscribe to one goal per category (Track, Boy, Girl) and a maximum of 3 subscriptions per email.
3. Edit or Unsubscribe
Each confirmation email includes:
- An Edit Preferences link (update your cycle or gender goal)
- An Unsubscribe link (remove yourself from reminders)
You manage your data — no account needed.
4. How Gender Prediction Tips Work
OvulTrack uses timing-based suggestions from the Shettles Method:
- Boy: Intercourse close to ovulation day.
- Girl: Intercourse 2–4 days before ovulation.
This method is not guaranteed but may slightly influence outcomes.
5. Example Walkthrough
Example: If your last period started on June 1
and your cycle is 28 days
:
- Ovulation will likely be on June 15.
- Fertile window: June 10–16.
- If you selected “Trying for a Girl”, OvulTrack will recommend intercourse on June 11–13.
Then, if you subscribe, we’ll email you similar reminders before the next cycle.
